Eating fresh, healthy food is a great way to boost your immune system.  Foods high in antioxidants will also bolster immune function.  Garlic will help boost your body's natural immune function.  What else is recommended and/or discouraged?



Eat more raw foods.


Eat foods high in antioxidants such as garlic, onions, sweet potatoes, broccoli, cabbage, spinach, mushrooms, ginger.


Going plant-based is best.



Red meat - can trigger a dangerous reaction that can weaken the immune system.


Fried foods - reduce immunity.


Soda - drinking soda (even diet soda) is a bad option as it depletes the body of calcium and magnesium.


Sugary foods - sugar is a cold's best friend because it knocks out a good portion of the immune system for several hours.


Processed foods - eating processed foods can lead to chronic irritation in the body that weakens the immune system.
